If you’ve ever wondered what it was like to be a cowboy, here’s your chance to find out! Experience life on the cattle trail first-hand at an educational experience with The Fort Worth Herd. After a meet and greet with the Drovers, the men and women responsible for leading and caring for the cattle on their daily drives, watch the past come to life at the world’s only twice-daily cattle drive. After, the Drovers will demonstrate tools which were used during the cattle drive era and talk about life on the trail. Other activities can include: viewing the grooming and saddling of a horse, roping, branding, chuck wagon stories, photo opportunities and cattle drive demos. Then mosey on over to Tannahill’s Tavern, renowned Chef Tim Love’s newest music hall, for a tour, light bites and cocktails.

Calling all film and history buffs! After an introduction to the National Cowgirl Museum, sip some bubbly while you hear from a panel of members of the film community about this exciting era in Fort Worth film. After the panel, explore the world of the cowgirl in the only museum in the nation dedicated to honoring women of the West. Tap into your pioneer spirit as you roam the museum’s interactive exhibits. Discover the special bond between the horse, the women and the West in the It’s Never Just a Horse exhibition. The Cowgirls and the Wild West Shows Gallery displays the historical significance of the cowgirls who performed in the Wild West shows from the 1880s to early 20th century. The National Cowgirl Museum plays an integral role in celebrating film in Fort Worth. Previous exhibits offered a behind-the-scenes look at projects produced in Fort Worth such as 12 Mighty Orphans and the Paramount+ series 1883. The Fort Worth Film Commission has worked with hundreds of film projects since 2015, raising awareness of Fort Worth as a city for creative industries and as a tourist destination.

Imbibe with the best of ‘em at one of the Ten Best Craft Distillery Tasting Rooms in America. Just a 5-block walk from the Omni, Acre Distilling Co. is at the heart of the area once aptly named Hell’s Half Acre. Once you’re settled in the tasting room, sample a lineup of Acre spirits and cocktails produced in-house and learn the history behind Hell's Half Acre.
